Spinning Canvas is the Southeast’s premier entertainment and dance company representing global South Asian culture. Having trained over 2K dancers with performances for the WWE, NBA, and NBC, Spinning Canvas opened doors to its own studio in the Seminole Heights area on April 1, 2022. Perfectly placed in the heart of Tampa, the Spinning Canvas Studio will serve the larger Tampa Bay community spreading Indian dance and culture amongst Tampa's diverse audience. With a strong brand in Florida, Spinning Canvas has gained national recognition over the last decade for performances across the country. Shivali Vyas is the founder of Spinning Canvas Studio - a creative space for the arts. Her dance journey began at age 8 when she moved to India with her family and discovered the beautiful & diverse folk dance forms across the country. Her passion for dance allowed her to express her cultural background through movement. Her vivacious, energetic spirit, along with her endless desire to learn, makes her a natural teacher. She has taken her students and troupes from studios to arenas all over the country to share their experience. Come dance, laugh and let yourself be free!
